Grace Groups. Grace Groups is the name given to the small group / home group ministry of Brackenhurst Baptist Church. The model adopted for the church’s Grace Groups is a “Lecture Lab” model, whereby groups gather during the week for fellowship and discussion centred on the sermon preached the preceding Sunday morning The text tells us that the famine was “in all the land” and further that it was in all “the land of Egypt” as well as in “all the land of Canaan” (v. 13). The famine was so extensive that there was not any bread in all the land. Second, the famine was exhaustive. We are told that the land “fainted” or “languished” (v. 13)
