It runs flawlessly and has no other symptoms. I have had the rancher for many years and it has just started doing this. Since it runs perfect it really has me stumped

Oil Change Honda I have a Rancher TRXFA2F. I just did my first oil change. Followed the manual to the tee. Noticed something very peculiar. When i was filling crankcase via fill tube. The oil was just below my funnel the whole time. I added quarts ran engine for 3 minutes. So if that's the case, I'm assuming (help me out here) only 2 different things could be going on. 1) my oil temp sensor is bad or 2)I've never had the engine hot enough
