Mission: Impossible II takes everything up a notch from the original, but in a lot of ways that is a negative. Action is great and a lot more prevalent than the original, but the camerawork is terrible it most hand to hand or gun fire conflicts. Mission: Impossible is certainly a flimsy movie, with a convoluted plot and very silly dialogue, but it's made with gusto and takes its own cheesiness seriously whilst playing the audience's expectations. For this alone, it basically works overall.
