Regardless of what size of Hit Die Missing: pickup metal As a DM, I roll for monsters HP. Seems much more fun. And as I am not attached to my monsters, I dont give a damn if they end up with shitty roll. It will even out eventually. As I players, I always take the static option. While getting a lucky roll is nice, I dont really feel like I accomplished or deserved it About Rolling for HP. I personally try to avoid rolls when having my players create characters. If you'd like to do the roll, go into character editor and then the class tab.
