Hanako kun is obviously inspired by that legend and it is a fun and cool legend but honestly I like the anime tbhk better. I think Hanako was inspired by Hanako San. But hanako kun is less evil then Hanako San because Hanako San will pull you into the toilet and hanako kun will grant you a wish with a cost. I hope this helps! My friend suggested that maybe Tsukasa killed their parents, and Hanako, now that Tsukasa was harming others than Hanako, Hanako decided to kill him. And afterwards, he killed himself. Therefore, 4 bodies found, ruled as suicide.
