Bayou electric start/wiring diagram. I just purchased a 92 klf Bayou that had been sitting in a barn for three years. I would like to get it running for my 72 yo dad this Christmas and am having these problems. 1. It fires and runs fine when power is applied to the seloniod, starter side. While the 24ss is a simple carburetor it also has a major fuel quality & contaminant problem. I've cleaned and flushed the entire fuel system and all it takes is a tiny bit of rust or old gas to block the carb Warm it up. Set the idle speed. Adjust the pilot screw (meters fuel, not air, clockwise is leaner) in until the idle degrades, and then out until the idle degrades again. Now set the pilot screw midway between those two points.
