The minions attack stuff for you while you just sit there, but none of the summoning class weapons have an active damage component. You need to be doing something besides just running and dodging The only functional differences between normal and expert mode for this setup are: 1) The Moon Lord takes less damage from the boulders due to defense scaling. 2) The Moon Lord has more HP to chew through due to HP scaling. The constant stream of hearts is enough to outheal even expert damage, so normal mode is chosen to save time Easiest way to beat Duke Fishron. Kill Lunatic Cultist with vampire Knives. Go defeat solar pillar and other ones, and lose to moon lord. Use ancient manipulator and solar fragment to craft Daybreak. That kills him for me so quickly if I'm on asphalt blocks #2. Assuming decent targeting priority, I'd bet on the Duke every time. The Moon Lord has powerful attacks, but Dude Fishman is far, far more aggressive and won't have to deal with such concepts as "mercy invincibility" when unloading a stream of bubbles into one of the Moon Lord's parts
