I just purchased a 92 klf Bayou that had been sitting in a barn for three years. I would like to get it running for my 72 yo dad this Christmas and am having these problems. 1. It fires and runs fine when power is applied to the seloniod, starter side. (with the exception I can't get it to idle yet) Take a look at the fuel metering rod (part #) you will notice it has a clip with a washer on each side. There are several positions that the clip can be posistioned on. Move the clip DOWN a notch and then re-assemble. This will allow more fuel at idle and should fix the problem of stalling at low speed and/or having to run on choke at idle B b c a 70a o a a 0—a Bayou carb removal. In the removal process you must remove the choke and throttle assemblies. My question is when you take the throttle assembly out of the carb body, is there something fragile (needle, wire, etc) im supposed to be careful not to break. There should only be one white wire. There should be two black/yellow wires. One to the battery NEG post and the other to the starter solenoid A friend asked me to look into running/performance issues with his 98 Bayou Starts and idles cleanly, On acceleration, and pushing the throttle, it hesitates and cuts out. Today, for kicks, I actually ran it with choke on and it ran great with no hesitation on hard acceleration and at speed. Of course it would not run at idle with choke on
