Transponder Caches are small cylindrical shaped containers or strongboxes buried under the snow that the player can locate and uncover with the use of the Handheld Shortwave Radio. These caches contain useful loot such as tools, weapons, ammunition, medicine, clothing (including the technical balaclava) and food. There are caches per region, Hunting lodge: Long game suitability. Looking through the conversations had I don’t often see the hunting lodge/broken railroad area mentioned as a good map location for the long term. I think it’s a pretty good area once you have the hacksaw/hammer and can get a base established. They are not far away from each other so crafting isn’t an So i started Broken Railroad only survival on Voyageur. I'm on day I think i have looted the entire place looking for a hammer but I couldn't find it anywhere. I On Interloper you go to BR when you're armed and have crafted No Trespassing, Violators Shot on Sight signs. You can go around all of that. On train level you can climb the mountain and go through a small bridge to finish at a cave near the hunting lodge. # Lonades Feb 18, @ pm If you're leaving Broken Railroad, you can actually climb right over the landslide and skip the river section with the fallen tree and the wolf. From the perspective of leaving BR, climb the landslide on the left edge and there's a series of short drops to safely return to the tracks on the other side. #6.
