Black beard algae (BBA) or brush algae (Audouinella sp., Rhodochorton sp.) belong to the group of red algae, just like staghorn algae. Their natural color is not red, though, but I think it might be beard algae instead. (Are they the same thing?) I saw the list posted above already but it also listed BBA and cyano so I wasn't sure which ones else were shrimp-safe. I did find a list that says shrimps LOVE beard algae. Is that true? If it is, can I fill a tank with this stuff (and some moss) and they'd be fine?:icon_surp
